Our mission is to ensure that this devastating condition receives the urgent and adequate funding it desperately needs to accelerate the discovery of a cure, bringing hope and healing to those affected by this heart-wrenching disease.

Brain Cancer Research Funding in the UK: Some Statistics

While cancer is a significant health challenge, the allocation of research funding among different cancer types is not always proportionate to their incidence or impact. Brain tumours, in particular, have historically been underfunded when compared to other cancers.

  • Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer.
  • Despite this, brain tumour research receives only 1% of the national cancer research spending in the UK.
